چکیده

A field investigation was conducted at Agronomy research farm A. S. (P.G) College, Lakhaoti, Bulandshahr during rabi seasons of 2006 and 2007. The treatments consisted combination four cropping systems viz. chickpea sole (M1), linseed (M2), chickpea+ 2:1 ratio (M3) pigeonpea + 4:2 (M4) in main plots; two irrigations vegetative stages (30-40 days) flowering stage (70-75 (S1) one irrigation (S2) sub plots three levels phosphorous control (L1), 30 kg P2O5/ha (L2) 60 (L3) sub-sub split design replicated thrice the season. variety BG-362 neelam were used soil experimental site low organic carbon (0.47 0.48 kg/ha) total nitrogen (154.0 155.1 kg/ha). It available phosphorus (9.2 9.24 medium potassium (203.0 203.6 sandy loam texture having alkaline reaction (pH 7.5). weather both years experiment by large normal devoid any extreme conditions. net return found to be maximum under chickpea: row with P2O5/ha. (Rs. 21,632 Rs. 22,128) followed Due relatively higher gross return. B:C 1.87 1.91 obtained from P2O5/ha, because reduced cost on system.

GENETIC DIVERGENCE IN CHICKPEA (Cicer arietinum L.)

Genetic diversity of 27 chickpea genotypes was studied through Mahalanobis D and Principal Component analysis. The genotypes under study fall into five clusters. The cluster II contained the highest number of genotypes (11) and Cluster I contained the lowest. Cluster I produced the highest mean value for number of pods per plant. The inter cluster distances were much higher than the intra clust...

Effect of Cultivar, Irrigation and Nitrogen Fertilization on Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Productivity

A 2-year field study was conducted in northern Greece to investigate the effect of nitrogen fertilization and irrigation on productivity of three Greek chickpea varieties (“Amorgos” “Serifos”, “Andros”). Chickpea, grown under irrigation regime (30 + 30 mm of water) and fertilized with 50 kg·N·ha−1 before planting and with 40 kg·N·ha−1 at blossom growth stage, produced more total dry biomass and...

Effect of plant growth-promoting Streptomyces sp. on growth promotion and grain yield in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L)

The physiological and molecular responses of six strains of Streptomyces sp. (CAI-13, CAI-85, CAI-93, CAI-140, CAI-155 and KAI-180), with their proven potential for plant growth-promotion (PGP) in rice were studied to understand the mechanisms causing the beneficial effects. In this investigation, those six strains were evaluated for their PGP capabilities in chickpea in the 2012-13 and 2013-14...
